It just occured to me that while my posts on this blog have been infrequent, they are enough to show the wide web world that I don't do Monday very well. I am also starting to worry that my moodiness (is that even a word?) is rubbing off the kids. And so, I will pledge to cut out the ramblings about bad Mondays because my problems with dealing with Monday are so small compared to problems others might have. Like her's, for example.
Changing topic completely, if you have been reading my posts (and if not, why not?) you would know that Sara is having some problems coping with schoolwork. Everyone's pitching in to help. But the extent of it all presented itself yesterday evening. She told me she and another girl in her class have been moved to a different Math class to join seven other kids with a different teacher. Sigh.
I know, I know. I can choose to take a positive stance and tell myself, she is getting more individualised attention which she needs. And I try. But the sadness is there. I'm thankful though that she doesn't know the move heralds a not-so-positive meaning. Such is the sweet innocence of a child.
It is important to me that she is enjoying school and thus far, she seems to be. Even if she has more homework to do than the other two kiddies. That's the thing about my littlest girl. She has such tenacity and happily keeps at it, oblivious to everything else.
Speaking of being happy, I received a lovely email this morning from Mr & Mrs JB who will be in transit in Singapore on Friday and we are meeting for lunch. Yay! Their house and vineyard in Melbourne were burnt down because of the forest fires, but they are happy they still have each other. And this adds to why Friday is by far my most favourite day of the week. And I am counting the days to Friday...
