The story continues

Yesterday was my last day at work. It was an emotional farewell. I guess you don't spend 6.5 years of your life at a place and not feel any sense of attachment. Because I was going to leave at noon, the team surprised me with a nice chocolate cake in the morning. After the cake was had, the pictures taken, the wishes wished, promises to keep in touch made, I felt a sense of sadness as Julzie and Mrs Bhutia walked me to the car. Goodbye, big blue. You've taught me lots, and I will miss you.

The company I'll be joining, small red, had a regional team meeting that afternoon and so I turned up there to be introduced and to listen in to their plans and outcomes from last year. They seemed to be a good bunch of people and after another round of discussion today, I feel like I could connect to this team and to the company and hopefully bring value to the business.

I don't officially join them until early next month so I have about two weeks off for R&R. Besides R&R there is a health matter that needs to be taken care of in the two weeks. This is a long-winded way of saying I will be taking a blog break until then.

Take care everyone. I'll try not to miss you too much. x.
