Thank you...

...for your email and sms-es about Danial. He is recovering, alhamdulillah. We had a follow-up this morning at the hospital and it seems we need to come back in two weeks' time for more tests. Something about his lungs being larger in size.

According to the paed at the hospital, his rashes and swelling, although could be triggered by food allergy, could also be triggered by a lung infection and the x-ray does reveal that his lungs is larger than it should be for a boy his age. So he has to go off the anti histamine today and in two weeks' time, we need to go for a blood test (to determine if it was allergy) and another check on his lungs.

I'm trying not to freak out, but only God knows what's in my heart.

My mind is racing with all possibilities (and usually it is the worst case possibilities because I am the way I am). I'm telling myself not to worry but my maternal instinct just wants to grab and hug my son and protect him and fend off whatever it is that's making him sick, with all my might.

Two weeks seems like a long way away. If I had any choice, I'd want the tests to be done today. No, yesterday would've been good.

Hopefully my worry is all for nothing. I'm praying hard it is for nothing at all.

any logical explanation?

because apparently, anti histamines stay in your blood for a week or so after your last dose. so any earlier, the allergy test won't work since any reactions would be suppressed. and then there is booking of the specialist's time and he's available only then :/
