King Kong-ed out!

So I know the readers of this blog (yes, all three of you!) are dying to know about my King Kong movie adventure.

The good news is, I stayed awake the entire time. The bad news is, the movie - although was three hours and a bit, felt like six. Jack Black though, is great in this movie ... in fact, I think his acting pulled the otherwise over-the-top story together. That man is all talent.

The dinasour scenes were very interesting addition, I thought. But then I changed my mind because Peter Jackson got carried away and included gigantic, slimy, creepy crawlies that ate some of the crew. 'Nuff said.

But the love triangle between King Kong, Naomi Watts and Adrien Brody was weird. I mean, how would you feel if your competition in love was literally an ape? By the way, in some shots, Naomi Watts looked A LOT like Nicole Kidman, I swear!

There were some teary-eyed women in the theatre when King Kong died, and I was thinking to myself, why are they tearing? We all KNEW it was going to die. But then again, maybe I was just being irritable and sleepy.

Not that I plan on seeing the movie, but Jack Black in a serious role? Odd!

He plays a desperate and slightly deranged movie producer so it wasn't a totally new persona for him. Thanks for dropping by!
