If you thought our adventure during the Chinese New Year holidays were all blogged about, you thought wrong, my friends.
There is also an incident that was on the sidelines of our automobile issues in Melaka that was highly amusing to me, and highly flattering to the husband.
If you remember, our car died on a slip road near to the husband's aunt's house. There were a few houses around that area and when we went to see the car with my cousin, there were two girls hanging around near to where our car was. These girls, perhaps late teens or early 20s, were in t-shirts two sizes too small and bright shorts that screamed "look at my thighs!".
The moment the girls saw my cousin and the husband, they looked, no STARED at these men. When I first passed them, I smiled because they were looking at us, and I thought they were probably wondering who these strangers were. And then I realised they were not wondering about us, they were wondering about the two men I was with.
And while the men were talking about the engine, the girls started giggling loudly along with staring. And then they started sauntering up and down the lane whilst I just stood there watching them do their catwalk with a bemused look on my face.
When we were done looking at the engine and started to make our way back, the girls started cat-whistling at the men. I mean, talk about being desperate for attention. The husband and my cousin heard the whistling and both looked at me but continued walking.
So the husband thinks it's highly flattering that the young girls found him and my cousin cute. More him than my cousin, he reckons, but don't tell him I told you that.
