Ramadan Update

Wow, we're into the last 10 days of Ramadan! Have to say, the kids are coping really well.

Farah's been doing really well. No complaints, no whining. Some of her friends have chosen not to fast, so she tells me she hangs out with those who are, coz it's easier for her. I love it that she is so sensible.

Danial's been doing either half or full days. I have told him that I trust him to decide whether he could continue his fast and so far, he's been good. The odd days he's too thirsty at school, he'd call me up to tell me he's going to break his fast.

The excitement to celebrate Eid is building up around the house. Traditionally, in other households, cookies and cakes would be baked. But seeing how I *can't* bake, we'd buy them from trusted friends and families. I've told the kids the cookies I've placed orders for, and they are excited just thinking about them.

We've sorted out our first day of Eid clothes. The husband brought them home from the tailor and we all had a mini fashion show. And tonight, we'll go shopping for some nice shoes, especially for Sara. That little girl is growing too fast. She's outgrowing her shoes and clothes sooner than I'd like. OK, so I want her to be a baby forever.
