A few days ago, the kids and I were watching Discovery Channel and it featured archeologists looking for dinosaur fossils. So I asked an inane question that every adult likes to ask every kid, what would you like to be when you grow up?
Farah: I want to be a doctor. I want to find cure for cancer.
[My heart warmed up. Farah's mum died of cancer.]
Danial: I want to be a chef.
[Aha, a budding Jamie Oliver. But I wonder what your daddy would say, I thought to myself.]
Sara: I want to be daddy.
[I know what your daddy would say.]
I told this to the husband and of course, he was grinning from ear to ear.

Hmm... what would the modern feminist say about that response? Just kidding!
Better she said she wants to be daddy than if she wanted to be Christina Aguileras. THAT would have given me a cardiac arrest. Oops, my age is showing again.
You don't have to be "old" to think that way. Of course, I don't find many other college students that think the way I do, so maybe I'm just "old before my time"
who knows...
